About the position
Hire Resolve’s client in the civil engineering sector is urgently seeking the expertise of a Structural Engineer (PrEng) in Cape Town.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, analyzing, and evaluating structures to ensure their safety, reliability, and quality.
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop cost-effective and efficient solutions for various projects.
- Working on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
- Managing a design team to ensure project deliverables are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PrEng) or working towards certification.
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, and standards.
- Experience with structural analysis and design software, Sofistik FEM preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit and other design software/draughting packages.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
