Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Create copy across all channels including print, social media, video, email, banners, website, etc.
- Conceptualise big ideas and copy that ensure social media achieves KPIs for social clients
- Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
- See projects through the whole creative process - from concept, copy, design collaboration to production
- Present social media concepts and calendars to clients on a regular basis
- Populate content calendars and produce content timeously to calendar timelines
- Remain fully immersed in social platform trends and changes to ensure content stands out on social media channels
- Edit and proofread copy to ensure standards are met
- Drive brand consistency across all communications
- Use SEO principles to maximize content reach and search rankings
- Source images and other content
- Keep abreast of all digital, social media and advertising trends in accordance with industry best practice
Qualifications
Qualifications/Experience/Skill:
- Tertiary qualification in Digital Copywriting/Copywriting
- Proficient in MS Office365 (i.e. Word/Excel/PowerPoint/MS Teams/OneDrive, etc.)
- Minimum 3 years working experience as a Digital / Social Media Copywriter in a creative agency or similar environment (i.e. Radio)
- Digital (well-versed in Digital and all things social media)
- Good understanding of social media KPIs
- A good command of the English language (both verbal and written)
- Vernacular: ability to write in isiXhosa & isiZulu will be advantageous
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong multitasking skills (ability to work on more than one brief at any given time)
- Strong time management skills
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- A portfolio showcasing written social media and TTL work
