Senior Project Accountant

About the position

REQUIREMENTS:

• Finance degree
• Min 5 years related experience
• Strong excel experience

DUTIES:

• Responsible and accountable for monitoring project progress, liaising with the Project Manager and clients as well as ensuring that customer billing has been complete
• Public Finance Management Act of South Africa, 1999 (Act No.1 of 1999)
• Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA)
• Treasury Regulations issued in terms of the PPPFA
• King Code for Corporate Governance and Practice
• Attendance of all relevant Project Management Unit meetings
• Preparation of submission for approval's (SFA's) for the respective projects for submission
• Client liaising regarding the Clients' purchase orders (Client PO's) following submission of SFA's
• Manage the client invoicing per project in-line with the Service Level Agreement
• Prepare a Financial Report detailing the progress of each project per client
• Seek approval for invoicing and submission there to the Clients and follow up on receipt of the funds
• Independent Audits and responding to the audit queries and submission
