Senior Power Engineer

About the position

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop requirements, investigations, information and other data for technical designs and trade of studies
• Direct and manage a project to completion within performance management baselines (scope, schedule, cost, resources, and quality)
• Ensure contractors designs and installations comply with the organisation and statutory requirements
• Ensure site power operations complies with the organisation's technical and quality requirements
• Ensure the quality of power received meets the Electricity Supply Agreement conditions in place
• Contribute towards the graduate training program and mentor junior employees and site team

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATION:

• Tech Electrical plus 10+ years relevant experience
• Eng. Electrical plus 9+ years relevant experience
• Eng Electrical plus 7+ years relevant experience
• D. Electrical plus 5+ years relevant experience

EXPERIENCE:

• Preferably come from a consulting engineering background.
• Previous experience on multi-disciplinary projects (Conceptual Stage to Construction Close-out).
• Held position of responsibility and accountable for designs and project delivery.
• Experienced with complete project lifecycle from inception to close-out
• Experience in operations and maintenance of electricity distribution systems

KNOWLEDGE:

• Design and operation of power generation and distribution systems
• Project management processes
• System engineering best practices
• Working knowledge of built environment contracts especially NEC
• Knowledge of the industry's standards and regulations
• Extensive technical knowledge and experience related radio astronomy infrastructure projects
