About the position

Role Title:
Senior Manager: Data and Privacy Compliance

Job Description:
As a Senior Manager: Data and Privacy Compliance at our client, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements relating to Cyber and Data Privacy. You will lead the development, implementation, and management of the monitoring and testing program to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance controls. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the company's strategic priorities.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and implement the necessary compliance mechanisms to ensure Data and Privacy compliance
- Identify potential issues with current procedures and ensure adherence to risk, audit, regulatory, and legal requirements
- Stay up-to-date with domestic and international privacy laws
- Assist in drafting and implementing privacy policies and procedures
- Investigate non-compliance issues, identify problems, and seek timely resolutions
- Develop and communicate regulatory compliance policies within the organization
- Monitor and report on Data and Privacy compliance best practices
- Provide guidance and enhance awareness of Data and Privacy compliance and policy issues
- Assess and develop training programs on legislative requirements and compliance methodologies
- Input into strategies for future compliance and risk mitigation
- Stay abreast of relevant compliance and regulatory requirements in the telecommunications industry
- Manage the overall implementation and testing program for Data and Privacy compliance
- Ensure alignment with Group policies and procedures
- Monitor financial performance and manage the Data and Privacy team

Requirements:
- Minimum 4-year LLB degree
- Admitted Advocate
- 7-10 years of management experience, with at least 3 years in a relevant sector/industry
- Experience working in a medium to large organization
- Strong understanding of emerging markets is advantageous
- Fluent in English, additional language proficiency is preferable
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work across diverse cultures and geographies
- Strong leadership and relationship-building abilities
