Senior Key Accounts Manager - Spice / Food Manufacturing / Meat Processing

About the position

A well-established market leader specialising in the manufacturing and distribution of seasoning blends requires the above to manage their spice portfolio handling key accounts within the meat processing food manufacturing markets ensuring that the company maintains profitability and business growth.
Minimum requirements for the role:

• Previous external sales experience having sold spices, food ingredients and related products in the meat processing and food manufacturing markets is preferred.
• The successful candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Must be able to solve problems and have good analytical skills.
• Must have good organising and time management skills.
• Must have good Excel and MS Word skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Driving the company's spice portfolio managing the company's top 10 key accounts within the meat processing and related markets.
• Identifying new market trends and liaising closely with New Product Development (NPD) teams.
• Performing gap analysis to identify new opportunities and maintain a healthy project pipeline.
• Presenting finished product samples for evaluation.
• Compiling annual budgets, weekly call reports and project updates.
• Liaising on a daily basis with internal sales and production to ensure that timeous deliveries to customers and service levels are maintained.
• Compiling monthly call cycles.
• Assisting clients with new factory layouts.
• Participating in factory trials with the NPD team.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
