Sales Representative FMCG

About the position

A leading FMCG manufacturing company is seeking to employ a Wholesale Sales Representative to cover all wholesalers nationwide. The focus will be on the 20 litre bucket oil market and bakery business for in-store bakeries and deli. This role is for an ambitious and highly motivated individual seeking the rare opportunity to help scale a high growing environment across the wholesale channel in South Africa.

Key responsibilities:

• Initiate communication to current and prospective wholesalers to grow the 20lt Palm, 20lt Sunflower bucket market, Baking margarines and shortening
• Must work closely with Buyers and Owners and drive sales into Wholesalers
• Drive sales out by ensuring sales plans and strategy are aligned to ensure growth
• Technical support to end users, training of wholesale reps and helping customer conversion from competitive products
• Respond to enquiries, providing comprehensive information both to the customer and internal departments
• Address customer needs, queries, and concerns courteously and promptly
• Build strong customer relationships by delivering personalized service and post-sales support
• Collaborate closely with the cross functional departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
• Accurately document customer interactions, enquiries and resolutions
• Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the line manager while delivering exceptional customer service
• Manage the market expectations
• Ticket resolution efficiently and effectively
• Develop and implement the channel strategy and marketing plans

Requirements:

• Extensive Wholesale B2B experience
• Technical knowledge on oils and fats will be an advantage
• Must be willing to travel nationally within South Africa
• Current Wholesale relationships is a must

The role will be based in Durban or Johannesburg, depending on where the Candidate is based.
