Sage 300 Payroll Administrator at Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd

About the position

An exciting role as a Payroll Administrator with Sage 300 experience has become available at one of our clients based in Boksburg.  If you are open-minded, hard-working, and a People person, then this role might just be for you.

• Implements, maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including wages, salaries, benefits, garnishee orders, taxes, and other deductions
  
• Ensure correct processing of leave and employee benefits and the maintenance of personal files
  
• Ensures that all financial capturing and processing is done per company policies and procedures
  
• Ensure accurate payroll updates, new employee engagement, terminations, job titles, and changes to pay rates
  
• Monthly reconciliation and payment requests for 3rd party payments (Medical Aid/MIBFA/Alexander Forbes/Insurances etc.)
  
• Submission of month-end and GL Interface files to the Finance Department
  
• Monthly preparations of various EFT files
  
• Ensure compliance with all Industrial labour and tax regulations
  
• Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, and internal controls
  
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Checking time sheets and the accuracy of pay computations
  
• Making sure all necessary documents and reports are processed on time
  
• Weekly, monthly, and annual reporting to the Accounting and Finance department
  
• Leave management - payroll annual and month-to-month reconciliations
  

Requirements

• Accounting or relevant Payroll qualification
  
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Payroll
  
• Good solid knowledge and proof of experience on Sage 300 People
  
• Advanced Microsoft Office experience
  
• South African Citizen
