Quantity Surveyor (Electrical)

About the position

Our client, a leading subcontractor to the construction sector seeks to employ a Quantity Surveyor, with a background in construction, specifically in lighting, electrical systems and new installations on construction projects.

Due to the urgency of the role, our client will give preference to candidates who are resident in the Cape Town and surrounding areas.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

• You will have completed a degree in Quantity Surveying, coupled with 5+ years experience in the construction sector, with a knowledge of electrical systems, lighting and new electrical installations on construction projects.
• You will have experience in managing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring cost efficiency and budget adhereance and contractual compliance, as well as provide estimations and financial analysis on profitability
• You will take over management of BOQ's and update material, supplier and subcontractor databases
• You will have a proven track record in tender processes, as well as being able to compile and present competitive tenders to clients and ensure commercial compliance.
• Proficiency in CCS Candy or WinQS is essential
• You must have a valid driver's licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
