About the position

Purpose of the position

Responsible for the recruitment of partners, the enablement of these partners to sell our technologies; solutions and services, and ultimately for these partners to grow into full-fledged partners with specialization in all areas related to the vendors and technologies we represent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for total SMME sales number for product range
  • Enable Axiz sales teams to grow vendor revenue in existing install base and new accounts through focused marketing strategies, campaigns and enablement.
  • Recruit partners into the vendor/technologies programs you are responsible for
  • Enable SMME partner sales team to grow vendor revenue in their existing install base accounts and new accounts through focused marketing strategies, campaigns and end user enablement.
  • Grow resellers' expertise, competence, knowledge and skills in the vendor programs they are primarily engaged in, as well as adjacent vendors/technologies that Axiz may represent.
  • Managing the vendor partner programs into the SMME
  • Be an expert with respect to the vendor/technology competition
  • DTAM market share
  • Helping and co-selling with the sales team in the SMME.
  • Training and updates to the partners on vendor technology
  • Weekly meeting with key partners with set agenda to achieve goals and strategy.
  • Develop programs for partners to drive into their existing and prospective base.
  • Deliver an accurate weekly revenue and gross profit forecast, internally to Axiz management.
  • Market products and manage the sales process

Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric certificate with exemption (essential);
  • Marketing or commerce degree or diploma (Preferred);
  • Technology and/or commercial degree or equivalent education/industry experience
    (essential);
  • 6-8 years sales experience in the IT industry (Essential), in IT distribution (preferred);
  • Minimum 10 years sales experience selling to large corporate customers (preferred);
  • End-user sales experience (Preferred);
  • HP Enterprise Server, NIC & Storage experience (Proven) or alternate Vendor
    experience;
  • Software Enterprise experience - e.g. Oracle, IBM, VMware.
  • Knowledge of the Reseller SMME;
  • Very Good relationships at senior level in our Reseller base;
  • Understanding of Gross Profit and formulas to arrive at pricing;
  • Good understanding of ROE fluctuations and implications thereof;
  • Vendor Sales Certification;
  • Datacentre related technologies;
  • Security;
  • Distribution Services.
