As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our client's dynamic projects department. Your responsibilities include market and product research, international travel for factory evaluations, contract negotiations, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials. Your success in this role will directly contribute to the growth of our client's operations in the African energy sector.
Our client, a leading international supplier of Power Transmission and Power Distribution equipment, is strengthening its projects department in Johannesburg. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, they have become a key player in the industry. The culture is one of collaboration, continuous improvement, and a focus on building long-term relationships with suppliers and clients.
To excel in this role, you must have a B.Eng or B.Tech qualification in Electrical Engineering. While experience with ESKOM, CONCO, HV Technology, or similar companies is highly desirable, candidates with a strong technical background will also be considered. Proficiency in Afrikaans and English is essential, while Portuguese and Spanish working proficiency is advantageous. Excitement for international travel, strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and highly organised administrative capabilities are a must.
