About the position
A well-established company within the Manufacturing industry is seeking the expertise of a Production Technician with Mechanical Laboratory experience to join their team in the Middelburg, Mpumalanga area. This will be a permanent requirement.
The Key Responsibilities for this Role Include
- Ensure Quality of testing Performed is in line with required standards
- Ensuring continuous optimization of processes
- Develop new test methods
- Validations, revalidation and compilation of validation documentation
- Evaluate quality critical suppliers
Qualification
- Minimum qualification in BEng (Metallurgy and Material Science / BSc (Hons) Material Science
Experience
- 2+ years experience relevant laboratory experience at Technician Level in testing and quality management
- Must possess knowledge of mechanical and metallurgical testing processes, statistics and quality control systems, testing equipment principles, root cause analysis, method development, method validation, data analysis and interpretation
- Experience as a Technical Signatory in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory (advantageous)
Skills Required
- Technical skills required; Mechanical and metallurgical testing and equipment, statistics, quality principles, in depth problem solving and root cause analysis
- Basic people management skills
