About the position
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize the company's trucking portfolio to achieve financial goals and objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of market trends, competitor performance, and industry regulations to inform portfolio strategies.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential financial losses and optimize portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as finance, operations, and sales to ensure alignment of portfolio strategies with overall business objectives.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and make recommendations for portfolio adjustments based on thorough financial analysis and risk assessment.
- Monitor and report on portfolio performance, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, particularly in relation to RE5 certification standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to support business growth and retention.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12
- FAIS compliant: RE5 & NQF5
- A minimum of 3 years appropriate transport experience
- Presentation and computer skills
- Drivers license
- Multilingual - Zulu, Sotho, English and Afrikaans
- Strong working knowledge of commercial insurance particularly in the transport sector
