About the position

We are looking for an energic, passionate and hard-working individual to join our team.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS LEVEL

Essential

  • Matric and a minimum 3-5 years warehousing/picking experience within the Food Manufacturing/Processing/Warehousing Environment or equivalent experience. Experience in the Spice industry will be advantageous.
  • Good working Knowledge of Syspro and WMS systems
  • Valid Reach truck Drivers Licence
  • Good knowledge and experience of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), FSSC, ISO standards and related in a regulated environment (e.g. Food Industry).
  • Focused on delivering Quality products on time and in full within a regulated food environment

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The main purpose of the Picker/Reach truck Driver is to pick Materials, Finished Goods, Marinades, BCE, Casings, Requisites, Consumables and other in the right quantity and according to the system requirements for Customer orders. Responsible for accurate system movement, handling and physical movement of all products and materials to eliminate loss or damage of products physically or in the system. Responsible for excellent hygiene, housekeeping and food safety standards in Warehouse.

? Drive cost reduction whilst optimizing resources and meeting resource requirements continuously.
? Ensure All Materials is, stored, handled and issued according to system and process policies and procedures.
? Ensure All customer orders are picked in the right quantity of the right quantity/quality to meet the customer and Sales order requirements
? Accurate stock control through cycle counts, FIFO principles and procedures, SYSPRO/WMS transactions.
? Adherence to all company policies and procedures with regard to the receipt, storage, handling, and transfer of all Materials and Equipment.
? Adherence to Food Safety, General Manufacturing Principles and Quality Assurance and Quality Control Systems.
? Drive Quality, Environmental Awareness, Safety, Security and Health in the workplace whilst assessing Risks continuously.
? People management through applied Human Resource and Industrial Relationship tools, policies and procedures.

SCOPE OF JOB

Basic Job Functions:

Finance

? Drive cost reduction whilst optimizing resources and meeting resource requirements continuously.

  • Effective material handling to minimize damages
  • Accurate picking to eliminate stock discrepancies
  • Execute Daily Cycle Counts as required to ensure good Stock accuracy
  • Reduce waste in identifying and eliminating non-value adding activities in the operation through fostering an environment for innovativeness, trial-and-error and use of suggestion boxes and dynamic work teams.

Customer Service

? Ensure All Customer orders is picked accurately and on timeProcess
? Ensure All Materials is handled stored and issued according to system and process policies and procedures.
? Accurate Stock Control through cycle counts, FIFO principles and procedures, SYSPRO/WMS transactions.

  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures with regard to cycle counts, stock counts, stock rotation, FIFO principles and SYSPRO/WMS required transactions.
  • Ensure all products in the warehouses have labels and tracking ID's with the correct product code, product description, unit of measure, lot numbers and expiry dates.
  • Ensure that All Materials physical location in the warehouses match the product's location in SYSPRO/WMS.

? Drive Quality, Environmental Awareness, Safety, Security and Health in the workplace whilst assessing Risks continuously.

  • Proper cleaning and housekeeping to be done as per the Company procedures
  • Ensure daily housekeeping is done are done as per company procedures
  • Building and infrastructure must be compliant to Food Safety Regulations.
  • All deviations reported and maintenance done to ensure continuous adherence.
  • Ensure that damages to products and equipment is reported immediately
  • All risks in the operation assessed and reported to Management

People

  • People management through applied Human Resource and Industrial Relationship tools, policies and procedures.
  • Manage diversity in the workplace.
  • Coach and train employees.
  • Employee interactions through team meetings, feedback sessions and training sessions.

General

  • Employee will familiarize him/herself with the Company's Policies and Procedures and Code of Conduct.
  • Employee will perform any reasonable duties and requests as required by Management.
  • Employee will be required to assist in preparations for formal stock takes annually.
  • Employee will be required to work overtime from time to time in alignment with operational requirements.
  • Employee will be required to relief in another position from time to time as per operational requirements.
  • Employee might be required to do job rotation as part of development and or as per company operational requirements.
