What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) You will dive into the heart of accounting receivables and payments, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. Your daily activities will encompass the verification, classification, computation, posting, and recording of financial transactions, alongside the preparation of financial statements and reports that detail accounts receivable status. Beyond maintaining impeccable records and facilitating client payments, you'll engage in reconciling accounts and acting as a support system for both debtors and creditors. This position offers a blend of challenges and learning opportunities, including the potential for cross-functional development within the accounting department, ensuring no two days are alike. This role will be more heavily focused on accounts receivable but you'll also be doing accounts payable and taking on more accounting related tasks as you grow in experience. Joining this team means contributing to impactful projects that shape the future of urban spaces. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 16:15 and Friday is 07:00 - 13:00. You'll be office based. What you'll need You will need to have at least a matric certificate, be experienced with IFRS for SME's accounting standards, have 3 to 5 years of accounts payable and receivable experience and must have worked on Pastel or any Sage package. We're ideally looking for someone with construction industry accounting experience. This role requires a candidate who also demonstrates excellent communication skills, an analytical mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
