The latest CJI Manufacturing, Production & Trades (Quarter 3 – 2009) report, released by CareerJunction on 27 October 2009, indicates major skills shortages in various Manufacturing, Production & Trades occupational fields, among others the Process & Operations Management field.
On analysis of various industry sectors in South Africa, Building & Construction seems to be one of the sectors most affected by the current trend; and with this has shifted from a difficult recruitment environment to an easier recruitment environment, currently owning more than 10 potential career seekers per job advert.
