Junction.co.za Opens Its Doors for Discussion - and You're Invited
28/11/2011 Interactive Junction Holdings, a Wholly Owned Avusa Company, Launched Junction.co.za, a New User and Professionally Generated Content and Social Network Around Jobs, Autos and Property...
Junction

At first glance, one would think it's a social network, but Junction.co.za is far more than that. 24 October marked a shift in the way car, home and job seekers as well as advertisers interact. The newly launched site is specifically focused on the topics of jobs, autos and property.

It is a breakthrough for South Africans, boasting the best in social media and innovative technology, including Feed, Follow and Share features. Junction.co.za is an exciting new way for seekers and advertisers to come together and openly discuss and share ideas or knowledge around these topics.

In the first month since launch, Junction.co.za is already buzzing with conversations around jobs, autos and property. IJH is now calling on the community to join in and be a part of this exciting platform for discussion.

Says Kris Jarzebowski, CEO of Interactive Junction Holdings: "This is a bold step, but we believe the market is ready for a change and we are confident that our approach is a step in the right direction.

Unlike other websites in these categories, ours offer some quirky and unique functions and more importantly, we are targeting a specific niche, which makes it much more interesting and powerful. Come on and try it!"

CareerJunction, IJH's flagship site, has been around for 14 years in which time it has brought together 2 million job seekers and over 700 recruitment agencies. Recently launched partner sites, AutoJunction and PropertyJunction, have already attracted a significant amount of seekers and advertisers in their respective fields. Now they, along with the rest of South Africa, can come together under one roof to discuss the 3 things that are perennially among the top search topics on the Internet; jobs, autos and property. At the same time, estate agents and motor dealers will be talking directly to an existing 600 000-strong monthly audience of potential buyers. It's a win-win scenario.

Jarzebowski adds, "The idea around Junction.co.za is to allow users to search for or advertise the 3 vitals: jobs, autos and properties in one place. At the same time, we want users to interact with one another by starting conversations and sharing ideas or knowledge around these topics. It's a first for South Africa.

We are extremely excited to see what the outcome will be and how people will take to this new way of engaging. We're giving South Africans the chance to make themselves heard through friendly interaction and connecting with like-minded people, all within a professional but fun and intuitive environment."

Junction.co.za is now live and available to the public. Users can create profiles; receive targeted feeds; join existing conversations; add comments; ask questions and share ideas or links with the Junction community, by utilising the best in social media.
