MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric Qualification
• Basic Computer Literacy
• Fluent in English and Zulu
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist patients at reception: Serves patients by greeting them and helping them to access the clinic services in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answering telephone calls and referring inquiries appropriately.
• Assist doctors and nurses.
• Optimising patient satisfaction by minimizing waiting times and directing patient flow.
• Scheduling of appointments.
• Preparing and maintaining patient files.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient records.
• Maintaining adequate medicine trolley and stationery supplies in the consulting rooms and ensuring consulting rooms are neat and tidy.
• Assist with prepackaging of medicines for use in the dispensary.
• Assist with the disposal of medical waste and ensure an adequate supply of medical waste containers.
• Maintaining a neat and orderly reception area
