About the position
Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Foreman - Mining Industry - North West
Location: North West, South Africa
Industry: Mining
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
Job Overview:
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineering Foreman to join their team in the North West region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team of mechanical engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of mining equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanical engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities for mining equipment and machinery
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems, and implement solutions to prevent downtime
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment
- Manage inventory and procurement of spare parts and materials
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff
- Prepare reports and documentation on maintenance activities and equipment performance
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and best practices
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Trade Test Certificate
- Knowledge of Plant operations and Plant Equipment
- 5 years of experience in the mining industry with 2 years in a Foreman capacity
Benefits:
- Salary: R800K-R900K per month
- Family Responsibility Leave (if applicable)
