About the position
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing Assistant to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in marketing principles, excellent organizational skills, and experience in video editing and social media management. This role will support the marketing department in executing various marketing campaigns and strategies to enhance our brand presence and drive engagement.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid drivers license with own vehicle (willing to make use of for business purposes)
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in video editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Proficiency in social media platforms and tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Basic understanding of SEO and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is advantageous
- Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) is advantageous
- Willing to work extended hours and over weekends when required
- Willing to travel around SA based on requirements
- Physically fit and healthy
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials, including social media posts, newsletters, presentations, and promotional videos.
- Edit and produce engaging video content for various platforms, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
Social Media Management:
- Schedule and post content across multiple social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc).
- Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities and respond to comments and messages promptly.
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics and provide regular reports.
Campaign Support:
- Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, digital advertising, and events.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and insights that inform marketing strategies.
Administrative Tasks:
- Manage and update the marketing calendar with key dates and deadlines.
- Coordinate with external vendors and partners for marketing materials and event logistics.
- Assist in the maintenance of the marketing database.
