About the position

This challenging opportunity exists as Dutoit Vegetables, our packing plant situated on the outskirts of PA Hamlet.

Manager: Plant Maintenance
(PA Hamlet)

The incumbent will report to the Commercial Director: Vegetables and be responsibility for:

• the overall management of the workshop of five staff members
• mechanical maintenance of packing equipment
• maintenance and upkeep of the premises, buildings, and vehicles (tractors, forklifts, trucks)
• management of capital projects and
• general administration that includes orders and budgets.

A relevant mechanical qualification is essential, while sound experience in the maintenance of packing machinery, a qualification as millwright, knowledge of and skills in the maintenance of vehicles, buildings and equipment will strengthen the application.

In addition, the successful candidate will have good management and communication skills, be able to work independently and have the ability to motivate and productively utilise subordinates.
