About the position

Position Overview:
The Maintenance Manager will oversee a comprehensive range of operational responsibilities and departments, including:

  • Construction and Maintenance of Poultry Houses
  • Maintenance of Egg Packaging Station Equipment
  • Maintenance of all Feed Mill Equipment in conjunction with the workshop
  • Upkeep and Maintenance on small Abattoir
  • Upkeep of Generators and Farm Poutry Machinery
  • Oversight of General Farm Building Projects and Construction Initiatives
  • Certificate of Trade

Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven administrative, managerial, construction, and mechanical expertise
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems with the ability to install and diagnose issues
  • Leadership capabilities to manage a maintenance workforce of 25 employees (Electriciains, Fitters, Welders, Builders, etc) with a focus on achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience in project management, building, plumbing, and electrical work
  • Ability to foster discipline and accountability, aiming to cultivate a productive team dedicated to quality workmanship
  • Ability to plain for spares and stock items in advance
  • Commitment to cost control while ensuring effective and efficient operations
  • Proficiency in computer usage, including reporting and data management
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable Maintenance Management role
  • Excellent references, commendable personal habits, a high level of accountability, and outstanding initiative are essential
