About the position

Troubleshooting, preventative and maintenance planning to optimize and ensure uninterrupted production and manufacturing processes.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Reduce machine downtime and enhance machine performance, including fault finding and machine servicing
  • Complete job cards and execute assigned scheduled maintenance tasks
  • Maintenance support, including assisting fitters and overseeing repairs
  • New equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning
  • Propose changes to planned maintenance work and inspections as necessary
  • Perform changeovers for tooling and machinery, including quick changeover initiatives (SMED) for efficient production transitions
  • Maintain optimal availability of maintenance spares to support uninterrupted production
  • Conduct regular housekeeping checks on machines and workshop
  • Strictly adhere to workplace safety and quality procedures, including ISO9001 and NOSA

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:

  • Completed Matric Certificate
  • Non-trade tested N2 Fitter I Fitter and Turner or Millright
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in machine changeovers, setups, programming and fault finding in a manufacturing and production environment
