Logistics Planner

About the position

Position description / overview:

Based in East London, within a Tier-1 Automotive Supplier, the Logistics Planner reports to the Logistics Manager



Minimum Requirements / Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• 5+ years’ experience within automotive manufacturing
• Working knowledge of industry software/system advantageous

Responsibilities:

• To place weekly raw material orders with suppliers
• Track customer variation on orders that could be transmitted to our supplier base
• Expedite order using the standard transport mode
• Escalate material or suppler problems. Ensure to monitor on-time delivery
• Ensure that all import requirements are met (FCL/LCL requirements – TO’s, forecasts etc)
• Review and action delivery discrepancies
• Manage excess and obsolescence management
• Engineering change management
• Work with the team on CIPs
• Cycle count control of parts at risk / needing review
• Supplier management
