Logistics Planner

About the position

Logistics Planner required for a reputable automotive manufacturing company based in East London , Eastern Cape 

Requirements

• Logistics tertiary qualification is essential 
• Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience within the automotive manufacturing environment essential
• Display a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail 
• Ability to work independently
• Good communicator
• Good administrative experience and computer skills are essential i.e. Pivot tables

Responsibilities:

• To place weekly raw material orders on suppliers
• Track customer variation on orders that could be transmitted to our supplier base
• Expedite orders using the standard transport mode
• Escalate material or supply problems
• Ensure to monitor on-time delivery
• Ensure that all imports requirements are met (FCL/LCL requirements - TO's , forecasts, etc) 
• Review and action delivery discrepancies
• Manage excess and obsolescence management, engineering change management of parts 
• Work with the team on CIPs
• Cycle count control of parts at risk / needing review
• Supplier management
