About the position
Our client, a niche assurance organisation, is currently looking for a dynamic Learning and Development Manager. You will be responsible for managing the Learning & Development function and ensuring all L&D initiatives are aligned with the Human Capital strategy as well as the overall business strategy. Revise and Implement Policies, Processes, Procedures, Systems and Guidelines Lead on the development of quality systems and processes to identify, approve, plan, design, implement and evaluate all learning and development activities, including training needs analysis, training plans, effective use of training resource, accreditation processes, flexible training packages, evaluation, audit, and monitoring of training/study leave activity. Develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure that learning needs are identified and met, and that all learning is planned, implemented, evaluated, and shared in order to change and improve services. Curriculum / Program Design and Delivery Compliance Team Management Develop and maintain clears systems, process, and procedures (SOPs) for the L&D team. Ensure role clarity and efficiencies in the team. Develop and maintain systems and processes to promote monitor and maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting any concerns. Lead on the production of learning and development policies, standards, and guidelines, including the preparation of the annual Learning Plan, taking account of current legislation and recommendations and the future direction of the Company.
Ensure that the business curriculum and the development of the training material addresses training needs and conforms to quality standards.
Lead, develop and evaluate a comprehensive Staff Induction programme to meet the needs of all staff, including key legal requirements, according to the requirements of Company policy.
Ensure that the SDF completes and submit the WSP, ATR and Pivotal reports to the correct SETA, before the deadline. Advise the organisation on the implementation of the WSP.
Managing the team and be a role model by demonstrating leadership and knowledge, and by maintaining credibility within the Company, ensuring a positive image of the Company is maintained.
Manage a team comprising of facilitators, material design developers, SDF and administrators. Liaise with trainers and subject matter experts who report into business and report on the quality of their training. Ensure that on the job learning is also recorded and reported on.
Ensure that monthly L&D reporting is comprehensive and informative.
