Junior to Intermediate GIS Specialist - GISc Technician - Remote

About the position

ENVIRONMENT:

A dynamic GIS Specialist is seeking a Junior to Intermediate GIS Specialist or GIS Technician with strong coding skills and problem-solving abilities to join their team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QGIS, GeoServer, PostGIS, GDAL/OGR, and other related open-source GIS tools. Additionally, familiarity with Leaflet, OpenLayers, GeoNode, and LizMap is required.

REQUIREMENTS & DUTIES

• SDI implementation
• Solve geospatial problems and perform spatial analysis / geoprocessing tasks
• Data sourcing, acquisition, manipulation, ETL and related activities
• Map design and cartography
• Spatial database administration
• Image processing / remote sensing
• GIS system and workflow implementation and management
• Coding, scripting, cli, software development where applicable
• Respond to support requests
• Write training material
• Present training courses
• Contributing to report writing

REQUIREMENTS:

• Mastery of QGIS, GeoServer, PostGIS, GDAL/OGR and related FOSS GIS tools

Working knowledge of Leaflet, OpenLayers, GeoNode, LizMap
