Junior Quality Assurance Technologist - Howick at Ntice Search

About the position

Westfalia Fruit Products situated in Everdon Oil Plant in Howick, has a permanent vacancy for a suitably qualified and experiencedJunior Quality Assurance Technologist.



Reporting to the Factory Manager, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in the implementation and handling of the various food quality and food safety management systems for the Everdon oil plant, including all Accreditation Standards and customer-specific systems relating to Quality Assurance.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Post - matriculation qualification, Diploma at minimum (preferably Food Technology)
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position in an FMCG environment

Knowledge:

• Understanding of the latest BRC Standard or FSMS
• Maintain a system for testing of food, environment, and cleaning swabs
• Testing of Oil
• New product development
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment

Skills:

• Must have the ability to read, write, analyse, and interpret communications and data
• Must have above-average skills in the use of MS Office packages, namely Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
