Reporting to:

Purpose of position:

To increase the effectiveness of the maintenance team through accurate work planning and control

Qualification/Education:

Artisan trade qualification (mechanical) Minimum N3 qualification including engineering drawings 5 years experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment 2 years of exposure/ experience in Maintenance Planning is essential

Key Performance Areas:

Assist the Maintenance Coordinator to optimise the Engineering Program including the annual shutdown Perform work planning and control via Work Packages Operation and control of the CMMS Communicate with production wrt. work status and critical work Compile KPI reports e.g. Availability, Manpower Utilisation, Planned work vs unplanned work Perform administrative tasks for the maintenance function Control SHE and RISK schedules and documentation Procure engineering spares and equipment Control the Engineering Store Control the engineering documentation system Create engineering drawings where required

Skills & Attributes

Good interpersonal skills Good written and verbal communication skills Good mechanical insight Strong planning ability and focus on future work Good understanding of food or beverage processing equipment Self motivated, high level of personal discipline
Strong Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Purchasing Software, e.g Oracle and Maintenance Software e.g. Pragma or SAP Able to operate cad drawing software or the ability to learn to use this package quickly
