A company is looking for the ideal Media Sales Executive to liaise with ad agencies. Promote sponsorships & contract sales.

Job purpose

To deliver a broad range of company products and services to clients in order to increase the company products. Achieving and exceeding sales targets
Promoting new revenue streams to client database
Administration relating to Sales in the Division
Develop and maintain a relationship with existing and potential clients
Responding to client briefs and requests- conceptualizing
Market and client intelligence

MAINTAINING EXISTING CLIENT CONTRACTS

  • Ensure maintenance of contracts for renewal
  • Discussion with clients regarding needs and ideas
  • Planning long term goals with clients
  • Attending client meetings whenever needed (daily/weekly)
  • Entertain clients when necessary
  • Respond to problems / complaints
  • Brief creative and media department as to clients needs
  • Develop and present proposals to clients
  • Follow up on proposals
  • Write client briefs and action all written client correspondence
  • Achieve individually set sales targets

SOURCING NEW SALES OPPORTUNITIES

  • Seek new accounts/clients
  • Cold canvassing for new clients
  • Getting to know new clients and their portfolios i.e. understand clients needs, objectives, planning and marketing strategies
  • Preparing and presenting products to new clients
  • Seek for new opportunities for new revenue streams-  sales leads
  • Ensure up to date with industry standards and requirements at all times
  • Preparing of cost estimates
  • Preparing of sales proposals
  • Respond timeously to enquiries- outputs

ADMINISTRATION

  • Forecasting
  • Monthly report to Sales Manager on sales
  • Updating general administration
  • Plan advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Utilise photo library in presentations
  • Follow up on payments
  • Update market research data for clients
  • Ensure photographs are collected for clients

Key performanceindicators

MAINTAINING EXISTING CLIENT CONTRACTS

  • No contract to expire without renewal- All contracts to be renewed timeously
  • Weekly follow up with all clients
  • All clients aware of product portfolio
  • Present when required by client
  • Timeous response and action to problem / complaints received from clients
  • Produce relevant campaigns
  • All client requirements met on advertising
  • Client briefs and correspondence up to date weekly/monthly

SOURCING NEW SALES OPPORTUNITIES

  • Sales targets met
  • Cold calls made each month
  • Professional presentations
  • Optimum research for full impact on clients
  • Professionally researched proposals presented
  • New opportunities for revenue sourced per quarter
  • Cost estimates accurate
    Professional proposals on time

ADMINISTRATION

  • Sales plan to achieve sales targets reviewed monthly (Actual v/s planned)
  • Contract managed professionally
  • Reports accurate and timeous
  • Admin updated weekly
  • Advertising/promotional campaigns actioned monthly
  • Job cards updated weekly
  • Payments meet contractual commitments
