Position: Junior Analyst

Company: Asset Management Firm

Location: Port Elizabeth

Reporting to: Fund Manager

 

Educational Requirements:
  • BComm Degree, majors in Economics/Accounting essential
  • (Honours advantageous)
  • (TOP RESULTS ESSENTIAL FOR APPLICATION)

Key Requirements:
  • Passion for investing – evidence to indicate such ess
  • Inquiring/curious mind about how businesses work and how investment markets work
  • Must be prepared to work long hours
  • Fund Pricing & Fund Administration part of portfolio
  • Administrative Function
    • Providing research reports and analysis on companies to Fund Managers whilst completing the Financial Analyst Qualification(CFA)
    • Creating analytical and forecasting models for listed companies both domestically and internationally as requested by the fund managers
    • Forecast company earnings and growth rates
    • General Administrative support when needed
    • Quarterly FSB, Resbank reports
    • The regular update of proprietary research and analytical tools such as Value Grid
    • Fund Administration to ensure the smooth operation of pricing and transaction processing
    • Analytical assessment of industry
    • Reasonability checks on Daily fund pricing
