Human Resources Manager


Reporting To:
Chief Financial Officer

                                                               Location: Cape Town, (Tokai)

 

 

HR Management

 

  • Oversee the running of the entire HR Function
    • Staff Management of Systems Manager and HR Officer
  1. Appraisals
  2. Evaluations in place and up to date
  3. Discipline, direction, motivation,  leadership and morale
  • Ensure compliance and maintain policies with regards to common employment standards
    • Basic Condition of Employment Act 1997 and any other Statutory Determinations
    • Labour Relations Act 2002
    • Occupational Health and Safety ACT 1993
    • Skills Development Act 1998
    • Employment Equity Act 1998
    • Unemployment Insurance Act 2001
    • Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act
  • Give advice and Guidance and ensure compliance for Staff Members with regards to Basic HR Policies and Regulations
  • Recruitment
    • Recruitment as per Company structure and needs
    • Assist Managers with Job Descriptions
    • Liaise with Employment Agencies
    • References checked
    • Assist with the Interview process
    • Company Standards upheld and new employee to be suitable for not only department but Company as a whole.
  • Monitor evaluations for all staff – Outputs and Performance – make suggestions and follow up.
  • Confidentiality
  • Other Statutory Requirements
  • Identify Shortcomings, take action and follow up.
  • Oversee Provident Fund and Medical Aid
  • Staff counselling
  • Administration for evaluations – Outputs and Performance – make suggestions and follow up.
  • Minimize HR risk potential
  • Management of all HR related Administration:
    • Personnel Files
    • Leave
    • Loans and housing loans (reconciliation with VIP)
    • Workman’s Compensation
    • Hospital Plan
    • Provident Fund
    • UIF
    • Competitive Database Information on HR matters
    • Matching of HR Records and Salary & Wage Records.
    • General
  • Identify absenteeism patterns
  • Identify areas of disciplinary transgressions that require special attention
  • Salaries are on par with the relevant industry
  • Company staffing structure and retrenchments
  • Management of annual and special increases
  • Confidentiality
  • Other Statutory Requirements
  • Identify Shortcomings, take action and follow up.
  • Disciplinary Procedures including Disciplinary Hearings
  • Weekly reports to General Ops Manager
  • Liaison with Company directors
  • Payroll:
    • Management for Wages and Salaries

Target Total Compensation:
