A listed South African bank is looking to recruit a Client Relationship Manager.

Responsibilities:

Sales

• Achieve contracted growth in assets, net income and new customer acquisitions.
• Interview existing and prospective clients and view business operations.
• Solution existing and prospective customers using the group’s products / services.
• Actively manage customer relationships through engagement and analysis of information.
• Attend to all enquiries stemming from customer relationships.
• Attend monthly marketing meetings where required.

Credit management

• Manage credit risk of existing customers and new applications.
• Ensure all control measures relative to the approved facility are adhered to.
• Attend to annual review of all accounts on portfolio.

Admin

• Assess and take action on financial information provided by prospective and existing clients.
• Compile required reports for presentation to the credit committee.
• Scrutinise credit info required to assess applications 
• Ensure correctness of and compliance to all documentation relevant to existing and new clients.
• Assist clients with queries.

General

• Establish and maintain networks in chosen industries.
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets.
• Deliver internal and external presentations to .staff, customers and other relevant parties.
• Assist team members where required.

Requirements:

• A Commercial Degree, or at the very least a diploma in commerce is essential with a C.a.i.b. an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years commercial banking experience is required in a sales position with a good knowledge of trade and/or debtor finance.
• Strong networker with existing relevant network (very important).
• Strong financial / analytical skills.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Team player but self sufficient.
• Should be computer literate.
• Be prepared to travel.
