The suitable incumbent must:

  • Have 3 – 5 years Personal Lines experience and a good understanding of all aspects of personal insurance
  • Have at least 2 years Marketing or Sales experience
  • 2 - 3 Years Broking experience with responsibility for looking after Group schemes
  • Have experience in  presentation ideas, products to clients (Executive level as well)
  • Have experience in networking and ability to generate leads
  • Be FAIS complaint – Personal Lines Insurance 
  • Be articulate and have good communication skills, written and spoken in order to commit to excellent client service
  • Be professional and well groomed and appropriately attired to ably represent the Group in a corporate environment
  • Have strong computer skills on Windows based applications
  • Be reliable, self-motivated, have composure when dealing with demanding clients and have unquestionable integrity
  • Have the ability to make decisions and take accountability for those decisions
  • Have a high work ethic and must have the ability to work under pressure
  • Be willing to assist with Affinity campaigns happening in the year
  • Be a team player, have the ability to build good relationships, support and actively participate in, and contribute to any team initiatives
  • Take responsibility for own development initiatives
  • Possess insurance industry knowledge (FAIS, industry trends/activities)

 

FAIS COMPLIANCE

Applicants must:

×          Comply with (or have a development plan in place to achieve compliance with) the applicable provision of the determination of Fit & Proper requirements for Financial Services Providers (FSB Board Notice 91 of 2003); and have knowledge and understanding of the applicable provisions of the general code of conduct of Authorized Financial Services Providers and Representatives (FSB Board Notice 80). ×          Have a basic understanding of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), Act 38 of 2001, and the money laundering provisions of the Prevention of Organized Crime Act



Key Responsibilities

  • To develop and implement a marketing plan aligned to the client's sales and marketing strategy
  • To liaise and develop relationships with Affinity partner, Insurers and Key Influencers within the company post Plan
  • To assist in designing marketing material and presentations ensuring alignment to the company's identity
  • To support and actively participate in team initiatives and any new business  strategies
  • To enhance group profitability through cross-selling and value added initiatives by having knowledge and understanding of the business
  • Focus on retention of new and existing business
  • Manage processes and procedures to ensure adherence to good governance, compliance and risk management
  • Ensure new business presentation / reports and updating prospect list and activity sheet are effective
  • Research and continuous mining and development of prospect funnel
  • Act promptly and efficiently on clients requests/requirements in line with business operating practices
  • Provide professional and correct advice adhering to Best Operating Practices and FAIS requirements
  • Excellent client service capabilities
  • Liaise and develop relationships with Affinity / Broker business, decision Makers and Insurers

  • Facilitate clients queries and complaints to the Insurer
  • Attend meetings and go on prescribed courses
  • General administrative duties,  reports, MIS to relevant parties, client queries feedback
  • Adhere to the minimum Quality and Service Standards as laid down by the Division
  • Keep up with market trends within the insurance industry and be aware of competitors products
