Leading Investment Bank seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to hunt and acquire new business for Transactional Products and Services (TPS) which will contribute to a significant amount of revenue. The main purpose of the job is to identify potential clients for Transactional Products and establish client relationships, and thereafter sell to and acquire these clients in order to generate new revenue for the TPS space.

Purpose of position:

  • The role entails providing customized solutions as strategic partner for the client.
  • The role requires an intimate understanding of the company on a macro and micro level in terms of their industry and how the company responds strategically to competitive forces. 
  • Perform effective sales and marketing of all Global Transaction Banking products to potential clients, thereby ensuring that sales penetration for new business is achieved and thereafter effective hand-over to the Transactional Banker.

Qualification:

  • Relevant Bachelors’ Degree
  • Academic advancement in banking sales and marketing environment will be an advantage.
  • Project Management experience and management consulting experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • New revenue target
  • Establish a robust pipeline
  • Sales conversion target versus pipeline
  • Good top and middle level relationship with potential TPS clients in order to identify opportunities for our solution
  • Sales Skills and Sales Methodologies - Ability to sell to Corporate, Government and NGO at all levels
  • Own sales process and manage deal pipeline and work with product/channel in driving sales momentum and closing deals
  • Provide Solutions
  • Client Presentations experience
  • Main driver in account planning
  • Conduct post implementation evaluation
  • Client service and Relationship Building – growth targets and customer satisfaction ratings
  • Organisation and Planning
