IR Specialist

Our top client the manufacturing industry is looking to appoint a qualified, experienced individual to manage all disciplinary and grievance procedures within the organisation, ensuring compliance with relevant South African labour laws, including the Labour Relations Act (LRA), Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Bargaining Council Main Agreement, and Company policies.
This role plays a critical role in maintaining positive employee relations and minimising workplace disputes.

You will be responsible for end to end IR matters from incident investigation, documentation right through to DE and CCMA representations.

We are looking for a young, high energy person with excellent interpersonal skills.

Minimum requirements to qualify for this role include:

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar IR or Labour Relations role in South Africa
• Certification or training in mediation, arbitration, or dispute resolution would be advantageous
• Demonstrated knowledge of South African labour laws and regulations, including experience dealing with the CCMA, bargaining councils and unions
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretio
• Experience in conducting training and developing policies related to South African labour law
• Familiarity with collective bargaining processes and union negotiation
• Knowledge of alternative dispute resolution methods (e.g., mediation, arbitration)
