About the position
The role is responsible for managing and enhancing relationships between the Company and the investment community. The lead of the investor relations will play a crucial role in communicating the Company's financial performance, strategy, and outlook to investors, analysts, media, internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead investor relationship strategies to maximise shareholder value and support long-term growth objectives.
- Coordinate engagement between the Chairman, non-executive directors and Group executive with shareholders, media, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior executives to develop a comprehensive strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, presentations, and other materials for earnings releases, annual reports, investor conferences, and roadshows.
- Partner with Company secretariat and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, corporate governance best practices, and disclosure guidelines.
- Develop and implement a communication strategy that enhances positive sentiment towards the Company among investors, the media, and the public.
- Reposition the Group as a significant and innovative player in the retail space.
- Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, media representatives, and community members.
Qualification, Skills and Experience required.
- BCom degree in finance, business administration
- CA (SA) or CFA is preferred.
- 5 - 10 years' experience in investor relations, finance, or related roles within listed companies
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, accounting principles, and capital markets dynamics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills,
- Ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically and provide insights on investor sentiment and market dynamics.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
