Intermediate Liaison Officer
FIXED-TERM CONTRACT (12 months)

SENTECH is looking for Intermediate Liaison Officer who will be responsible for installations, contractor management and deployment of broadband network infrastructure in regions across the country (including but not limited to wireless, microwave and fibre transmission, distribution and access networks, base station, power, towers, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint microwave and IP radio equipment).
The incumbent will assist with project management of contractors, conduct site visits to monitor implementation of solutions, conduct physical installation of broadband solutions in remote areas where required, ensure network implementation on site is completed on time, in budget and according to scope of work design, quality assurance and management of solution implementation, manage OHSE compliance on sites, provide daily / weekly / monthly reports, and support and assist with stakeholder management on the ground.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with project management of contractors, conduct site visits to monitor the implementation of the projects by the installation team according to the agreed project schedule and within the required budget
- Provide daily / weekly monthly status reports
- Collaborate and negotiate with external stakeholders to understand customer requirements and ensure solutions align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Check the physical installation of telecommunications products in remote areas with little or no support.
- Ensure that the installation on a site is completed on time and according to the scope of work Design,
- Provide support to end users to keep operations levels above average according to set SLA standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and implementation processes.
- Stay updated on the latest broadband technologies and industry trends.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to implement designs
- Management of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) compliance requirements and safety file.
Qualifications:
- National Diploma in Engineering (specialising in telecommunications or electronics) or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the integration, analysis and installation of complex radio network equipment
- Able and willing to work at heights on masts / towers
- Ability to travel and work in rural areas nationally
- Experience in contractor management
- Experience in installation and quality assurance of broadband networks
- Experience of internal container reticulation and installation of the base station, rectifiers, battery banks, transmission cabinets (TX), cable trays and electrical wiring
- Able to test radio / microwave links throughput making use of Ethernet testers.
- Valid drivers' license
- Ability to work and negotiate with regional/local stakeholders in an area to ensure in time and on budget project implementation
Knowledge:
- Good working knowledge of broadband technologies, including fibre-optic networks, microwave point-to-point and point-to-multipoint networks, broadband core, distribution and access networks.
- Understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security measures.
- Understanding of the broadband industry standards and best practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of W-Fi networks, ISP Customer management software systems, Broadband network integration, IP networks and RF networks
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at a technical level.
