About the position
Head of Specialty Lines Underwriting, Gaberone Botswana
Job purpose
To set up a new specialty lines underwriting unit, including hiring specialist underwriters, business development and strategic planning. This unit will underwrite the following classes of insurance:- Financial Lines, D&O, Cyber, Commercial Crime, Marine, Aviation etc.
This will suit a veteran underwriter from either the UK, UAE or sub Saharan/ South African Market who preferably has extensive experience underwriting several specialisms.
Minimum requirements
- B Comm Insurance and Risk Management or similar
- ACII or FCII
- a minimum of 10 years specialty underwriting and reinsurance experience in a leadership role
- must be able to relocate to Botswana for a minimum of 5 years
