About the position
Main (HR) Human Resources Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, and motivation of employees.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the Company.
- Nurture a positive working environment.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Maintain salaries, wages, and benefits program.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
Main (IR) Industrial Relations Responsibilities:
- Managing relationships and agreements with the bargaining council, unions & all employees within a manufacturing environment.
- Handling complaints, managing grievance procedures, and facilitating counselling in conjunction with other stakeholders.
- Investigating and resolving complex or critical industrial relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Collating and analysing employee feedback across all levels on a regular basis and revising people programs and policies to generate more positive outcomes.
- Lead and address all disciplinary concerns and hearings.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Human Resources or related fields.
- Good experience in employee relations or industrial relations.
- Good experience in dealing with unions & bargaining councils.
- Very good knowledge of HR policies & procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of employment legislation.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation & influencing skills.
Salary negotiable based on qualifications, experience, and knowledge: R 25000.00 per month.
