What you will be doing:
- Guide property development planning based on market needs and trends.
- Encourage teamwork among architects, surveyors, planners, and engineers.
- Manage due diligence, project briefs, and design timelines from site selection to launch.
- Oversee site pipeline, provide regular updates to management, and coordinate final unit mix, pricing, and layouts.
- Deliver high-quality materials to the brokerage team on time.
- Handle registrations, workflows, and municipal interactions.
- Lead research efforts, provide data-driven insights, and find new opportunities aligned with strategic goals.
- Build key relationships to support acquisition strategy and collaborate with the executive team on financial analysis and deal structuring.
- Supervise and represent the internal Project Planning team across departments.
- Improve both residential and non-residential spaces and enhance project planning with new technologies.
What you need:
- A tertiary qualification in architecture, property studies, or related fields would be beneficial.
- 6+ years post-qualification experience.
- Proficiency in real estate financial modelling, specializing in development projects.
- Background in real estate development, particularly focusing on upscale residential endeavours.
- Competent in project planning, oversight, and reporting.
- Familiarity with municipal procedures, especially within the Cape Town region.
- Demonstrated leadership, team supervision, and relationship cultivation.
- Adept at juggling multiple projects involving diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills and adept at resolving challenges.
- Engages in dynamic and cooperative problem-solving methods.
- Demonstrates proficiency in architectural and interior design aspects.
