Handyman

About the position

Experience Requirements
a. A minimum of 5 years a handy man in the building related industry is required.
b. The handy man must be competent in the use of the various hand tools associated with this industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Inform the contract manager of any irregularities, defects and/or shortcomings concerning the section in which he is employed.
• Safekeeping of all equipment concerned with the execution of his task and keeping it to standard.
• All ECP's and required forms are updated at all times.
• Ensure that he is familiar with information applicable in the section, in accordance with the Contractor Policy, Occupational Health and Safety Act 1993 and all applicable procedures and manuals.
• Ensure that his working environment is neat and safe.

• Ensure that the occupational health and safety in his environment is subjected to the following:

• Good housekeeping.

• Safe environment.
• Removal or report any health or safety risk.
• Prevent any participation in a reckless and/or dangerous activity.
• Report any person partaking in reckless and/or dangerous activities.
• Ensure that applicable safety/protective clothing is utilised when required.
