Join Our Team as a General Manager - Africa Operations
Job Purpose
As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business performance, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation and sustainability. The incumbent would ensure that purpose is distilled throughout the operations in Africa.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of people.
- Divisional Business Management by overseeing sustainable business practices and growth strategies.
- Financial Management by Ensuring compliance with financial audits and reporting requirements.
- Risk Management by evaluating and managing operational, safety, and environmental risks.
- Contract Management by tendering and managing contracts to meet business targets.
- SHEQ Management by upholding SHEQ standards and driving continuous improvement.
- Customer Relations Management by cultivating positive client relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
- Asset Management by understanding and optimizing asset management for financial performance.
- Managing a team by developing and optimizing divisional structure and roles.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc/BEng Degree (Post Graduate Degree advantageous)
- Management/Business/Commercial related qualification
- MBA or similar management qualification
- Minimum of 15-20 years' experience in the international mining industry.
