Food Service Specialist at Freshstop Office

About the position

This position will be based at our Freshstop offices. Report directly to the Regional Operations Manager.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be visiting and auditing of stores in the relevant area and will be involved in the re-launch/ new openings of FreshStop stores. He/She will be responsible for ensuring that Franchisees apply our group's Food Safety principles, Food Preparation Guidelines and Recipes. He/She will assist/train Franchisees and their staff in all areas of Food Preparation, food display, costings, and recipe specifications.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12
• Food Technology/Retail Management Diploma or B. Degree will be advantageous
• At least 3 - 5 Years working foods experience in a Franchised FMCG Retail/Wholesale

environment - or Food Service Industry

• Relevant training experience is advantageous
• Valid driver's license

PERSON SPEC:

• Own reliable vehicle
• Willing to travel frequently to visit stores - often in remote/urban areas
• High Energy Levels & a Passion for Retail/Food
• Must be Willing to work retail hours i.e.: Saturdays/Sundays/Public Holidays/ Overtime
• Must have extensive food preparation and recipe development experience
• Proven experience in a HACCP approved environment
• A love of food and the ability to train Food Prep Workers
• General understanding of financial management
• Understanding of category management principles
• Good understanding of business management
• Strong performance management skills
• Have proven problem-solving techniques
• Require minimum supervision
• Have strong communication skills at all levels
• Have strong planning and organisational skills
