Fleet Controller

About the position

Our client, an established road transport/logistics company located in Paarl, has an opportunity for a Fleet Controller to join their team.
This role is best suited to a proactive and driven individual with excellent planning-, administrative-, and problem-solving skills, paired with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification (Logistics, Finance, Management Services)
• Experience in a logistics / transport environment
• Strong computer literacy
• Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans and English)
• Drivers' license and own reliable transport
• Willing to work weekends and overtime as per operational requirements

Responsibilities:

• Daily scheduling regarding loading and unloading of products
• Monitoring vehicle routes
• Managing orders
• Handling relevant documentation
• Record keeping
• Liaising with drivers and customers
• Personnel management
• Quality management
• Expanding customer base
• All administrative and ad-hoc tasks related to the role
