Fitter

About the position

A well-established company located on the East Rand is looking for a Trade Tested Fitter to join their team!
Minimum Education: Trade Tested Fitter (Red Seal)
 
Minimum Experience: 3 years

Industry Specific: preferably mining, manufacturing and / or engineering 
  
Duties and Requirements includes but is not limited to the following

• Assembling, installing, and repairing various mechanical components and equipment according to technical specifications.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to understand assembly and installation requirements.
• Using hand and power tools to cut, shape, and finish parts for assembly.
• Inspecting and testing assembled components to ensure proper functioning and adherence to quality standards.
• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Collaborating with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
