About the position

Job Title: Divisional Financial Manager | Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Salary: Up to R80,000 per month

Job Purpose: The Divisional Financial Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and accurate delivery of management accounts, statutory compliance, and payroll matters. This position entails overseeing financial operations, managing a team effectively, and ensuring deadlines are met to maintain high standards of performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure tax and statutory compliance for all entities within the division.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT (VAT201) and employee taxes (EMP201) in a timely manner.
  • Resolve SARS/tax-related queries and ensure all submissions are accurate and complete.
  • Manage accounts receivables/invoicing processes and ensure timely payments from customers.
  • Oversee the payroll management process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate annual/quarterly audits and ensure adherence to audit requirements.
  • Supervise back-office operations, including fixed asset management and facility supervision.
  • Lead the team in maintaining the Sage ESS system and ensuring its effective operation.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture within the team, aligning with Solugrowth's vision and mission.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree with Honours.
  • Articles (CA (SA)/CIMA preferred).
  • Relevant experience in managing a team, preferably in a financial management role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the audit field or in a business post-articles role.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., SAP, Exact) and MS Office Suite.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Continuous learner with a commitment to personal and professional development.
