We're looking for a detail-oriented Financial Assistant who is deadline-driven and capable of handling accounting responsibilities with precision. What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) As a Financial Assistant, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing financial processes at our head office. Your responsibilities will include preparing, recording, and processing accounting transactions efficiently and accurately. You will analyse and investigate financial irregularities and develop reconciliations that help the department deliver precise and effective reports. This role allows you to contribute directly to the financial health of our operations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in a dynamic retail environment. Where you'll be doing it You'll be based at a prominent retail chain's Head Office in Cape Town CBD. They are dedicated to providing high-quality work in a fast paced environment. After a couple of months of working in office, there will be some flexibility to work from home one or two days a week. They work Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. What you'll need You will need a background in finance, including a minimum of 3 years in a similar role. A completed Grade 12 with mathematics and/or accounting is essential, and further qualifications such as a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting are advantageous. You should have proficient Excel skills, be computer literate, and have reliable transportation to Cape Town CBD. What you'll get There is a basic salary plus contribution to medical aid, pension and a bonus in December.
