Finance Manager

About the position

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting function, including management of debtors and creditors, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO initially, and later with the CFO based in the Cape Town Head Office, to ensure seamless financial reporting and adherence to company standards.
• Manage local reporting requirements and liaise with subsidiaries to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification for candidates with 5 years of experience, or relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or related field for non-CA candidates.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience for Chartered Accountants (CA) or 10+ years of experience for non-CA candidates in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing or seafood industry.
• Experience working in a plant environment or similar operational setting is highly desirable.
• Additional certifications or qualifications related to finance or management are advantageous.
