About the position
Client based in JHB North seeks the services of Finance Manager Assume overall responsibility for the financial affairs of the three legal entities. Oversee the financial management and related matters to ensure that it is financially sound in order able to achieve it’s overall objective of building sustainable suppliers in South African supply chain.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Liaison with key stakeholders including the Trustees, Directors, independent auditors, accounting services provider, fund manager, supply chain term, company secretary
- Coordinating transactions relating to drawn downs, repayments, interest relating to loans advanced and received
- As well dividends, distributions to beneficiaries, payments to services providers
- Overseeing the preparation and review of audited financial statements, monthly management accounts, regulatory filings
- Preparation of budgets, loan schedules and reviewing financial performance
- Implement good corporate governance – through legal agreements, and compliance with the trust deeds, memorandum of incorporating.
- Oversee the preparation of tax returns
- Assist in the development and execution of the enterprise and supplier development programmes to ensure the businesses maximise the enterprise and supplier development points for the purposes of the BBBEE Codes of Good Practice
- Initiation of transactions required by Investment Trust, Development Trust and the Enterprise Development (Pty) Ltd including not limited to declaration and payment of dividends, distributions to beneficiaries, drawn down and repayment of loans, interest income / expense to be processed by an external accounting services provider
- Performing the yearly valuation
- Responsibility for the execution of the BBBEE Ownership Audits
Qualifications/Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college/ CA (SA) qualification (Advantageous) or equivalent knowledge or experience
- Minimum of 5 years professional work experience, preferably on similar type of business activity
- Good commercial acumen, business sense, sound decision-making skills and the ability to understand and interpret legal agreements (including multiple loan agreements, agreements with service providers, trust deeds, memorandum of incorporation etc.)
